What is the Matrix?
The Matrix is where ideas, possibilities and new relationships intersect to create winning connections. Our agenda aims to offer a day of exponential opportunity, education and enlightenment.
The National Women’s In Network is growing and we want to solidify our values and connection to one another by bringing together our chapters, members and women of the tri-state area to share and grow professionally and personally.
Who can come?
Any professional or entrepreneurial woman - age18 to 100 plus - who wishes to connect with like minds for balance, professional and personal growth.
Why should I go?
To be part of The National Women’s In Network, an organization that fosters winning connections and a sense of well being through professional and personal balance. By providing an environment that is supportive and where women can be themselves, new relationships and connections emerge, offering exponential professional and personal growth opportunities.
How do I register?

How much is it?
The registration fee for the full day event, including lunch is $149 for non-members and $74.50 (half price) for current NWIN members.
The registration fee is half price for NWIN members and NWIN is currently offering half price memberships for a limited time.
Half price membership + half price registration = $187 Savings!
Is this meeting only for women who are in business?
No, if you are a professional, such as an attorney, insurance broker, accountant, etc., this is an ideal way for you to network with women who may use your services.
I have a job, but am unsure what I would like to do. Is this the right group and event for me?
Absolutely! We aim to provide a balanced content framework, which considers women who are in the early stages of their career journey. By meeting and connecting with different women, you automatically increase your potential success by meeting someone who may either inspire you or hire you!
If I want to split the cost of a room, can NWIN facilitate a room share for me?

Six Steps to a Secure Retirement

We all have goals in life-providing for our families, educating our children or grandchildren, retiring comfortably or leaving a legacy for future generations… But there are always nagging questions: Will I have enough money to do the things I want? How can I tell whether I’m making a progress toward my goals? And if I’m not, what can I do? Am I compromising my current lifestyle? Am I taking on too much risk? Shebna Olsen, will walk you step by step through these questions and more-suggesting ideas to help you create a truly successful and secure retirement.
Shebna Olsen is a financial advisor, Vice President-Investments with Wachovia Securities and has been advising clients on their financial decisions for over 12 years. She has her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Columbia University and will be attaining her Master degree concentrating on International Finance and Management in May of 2008 from Columbia University. She is the District Leader for National Women’s In Network Westchester County Chapter. She has worked as Region Treasurer and as President of Westchester/Rockland Association of National Association of Professional Mortgage Women. She will be presenting Six Steps to a Secure Retirement at the National Educational Conference of National Association of Professional Mortgage Women in New Orleans, Louisiana on May 22nd. In December of 2007, she has presented the findings of her team from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University on the Sub-prime and Real Estate Crisis, Effects on Bankruptcy to key members of Congressional Research Service in Washington, D.C. in December of 2007. She helps her clients achieve their financial goals by advocating a disciplined, long-term investment outlook. She regularly speaks on setting and working towards goals such as sending children to college, saving on taxes, retiring in comfort and providing for long term care.
Improving Sales and Enjoying the Process

If you own a business or work in a business that generates revenue, you are either directly or indirectly a catalyst in the sales process. Most people are uncomfortable selling – discover why, so you can recognize and overcome obstacles. In this workshop you will be briefly introduced to a formal six step selling process. We will discuss prospecting and follow-up in more detail. One aspect of the sales process called the “sales funnel” will be a focal point. Learn and realize the simplicity and yet the power of your sales funnel. The workshop will be delivered in an interactive hands-on style.
Danielle Gowen has over 20 years experience in bookkeeping, office services, and office management for various industries. She then worked in the Information Technology (IT) industry for 16 years doing everything from building and maintaining computers, designing business solutions, developing and implementing help desks / support centers, and spent 9 years as an IT Service and Support Manager. Her emphasis during the IT years was in efficiency and effectiveness through process improvement. Since 1993, she delivered instruction for computer software/technology and soft skills areas such as; communications, teamwork, problem solving, and process improvement. Since 2005 to the present, she travels the U.S. extensively delivering IT industry best practice certification training. She holds the prestigious expert certification in this discipline, ITSM/ITIL Manager’s Certificate (Information Technology Service Management / Infrastructure Library).
Danielle remains highly pro-active about her own professional development. Her passion for moving organizations and people to higher levels of productivity/performance and meeting a challenge head on were the inspiration for establishing her training and development company, Weather To Succeed, Inc. Andrea Ramirez of Soulterra Holistic is a Holistic Health Counselor certified by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners and Columbia University, Teachers College. After moving from Columbia to the US in 1999, Andrea developed chronic fatigue as well as digestive and allergy issues that made her question her newly adopted Standard American Diet (SAD). She returned to her mother’s teachings of using food as medicine and began taking responsibility for her own health to regain balance and energy. Later, she attended the Institute for Integrative Nutrition where she studied numerous Eastern and Western approaches to nutrition and learned to implement holistic pathways to health. Andrea uses her knowledge to inspire others to lead healthier lives through education and counseling.
Andrea helps women create highly effective nutrition and health programs. Her counseling style is fresh and funny with a deep respect for her client’s intelligence, with whom she “teams up” to find real, effective, lifelong solutions. NWIN Winner’s Circles: The Power of Intimate Connections
