Ellen L. Quimby

William A. Smith & Son, Affiliated Producer

I grew up on a small family farm on Oregon Trail in Walker Valley, NY, not far from my fatherís familyís farm he grew up on, on Jansen Road. I went through the Pine Bush Central School system, starting in EJR, and graduating from Pine Bush High School. I still reside in Pine Bush enjoying all this area has to offer to the fullest.

My greatest joy is being the mother of four daughters, and now the grandmother of Selena & Christopher.

In 1991, I was asked by Bob Collins to join his insurance agency in Pine Bush to learn the business. Bob sent me to classes at OCCC so that I could become a Licensed Insurance Agent in 1993. Although Bob Collins sold the business, I remained with the agency until June 14, 2014. On June 16, 2014, William A. Smith & Son became my new professional home, as an Affiliated Producer.

In the past I also owned & operated a country store, Quimby & Smith, from 2001 Ė 2011. In 2006, I became a founding member of the Pine Bush Area Chamber of Commerce, and have served as Secretary, Vice-President, and President until August 2015. After closing my shop, I joined Wallkill East Rotary in 2011, where I served as Secretary, President Elect, and President. I also enjoy serving on the Advisory Board for the Pine Bush High School Academy of Finance, and the Cancer Resource Center of the Hudson Valley.

When Iím not working or serving the community a few of the things that I enjoy are hiking, kayaking, cycling, skiing, painting, cooking, shooting, and doing anything with my girls.

Criss Ittermann

Eclectic Tech, LLC

Criss was bitten by the writing bug at age 11 and while she has made pit-stops at writing non-fiction, poetry, and much more, her first true love and soulmate is fantasy. Being a writer has given Criss an insatiable thirst for psychology, technology, design, publishing, research, and myriad ways of studying the human condition. This thirst has gotten her to holistic workshops, human resource trainings, train the trainer, and life coaching as well as developing technology skills starting with keyboarding at age 15 so she could write her novels on her Commodore-64 word processing application, through to working in the print industry in NYC as a desktop publisher and graphic designer.

Being able to use a keyboard, Criss also spent time in data entry, doing accounting and bookkeeping at a used musical instrument store, programming, and a brief pitstop as General Manager of Userfriendly on 72nd Street in Manhattan. A job as website admin and web server maintainer in Chester NY helped Criss break orbit out of the black hole of NYC and planted her here in the Hudson Valley, where she had always felt called to live.

Criss' business is Eclectic Tech. Criss is a Swiss Army Knife with a wide variety of skills in writing, teaching, designing and publishing. If you're thinking "book" -- don't wait for a sign, Call Criss!
